MY NATIONAL PARKS PASSPORT CANCELLATION STAMPS |
Here is a list with illustrations of the National Parks Passport Cancellation Stamps that I have collected. Click on the link for a state to see the list and images for that state or on the link for a year to see the stamps collected in that particular year.
The "Passport to Your National Parks" program was created by Eastern National Parks Association (EN) and launched in 1986. EN provides passport cancellation stampers to sites administered by the U. S. National Park Service (NPS), NPS affiliated sites, national heritage areas, and national trails. The passport stamps look like the round portion of a postal cancellation. EN publishes two styles of books to collect the rubber stamped impressions in. Shown below is the standard or small version which is 3 1/2 x 6 inches and has a fixed number of pages. The "Passport Explorer Edition" is a much larger 7-ring expandable binder which lets you add more pages as needed.
Some definitions: Passport stamps have changeable dates built in to them. EN issued stamps are termed official, standard or regular passport stamps. Stamps that differ from the EN-style are called non-standard passport stamps. Bonus stamps do not have changeable dates and are usually pictorial in design.
I have included here passport stamps for some of the other federal/national areas administered by the U. S. Bureau of Land Management, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and U. S. Forest Service, and several other agencies. These and the bonus stamps that I collected are shown in the year that I collected them. They are also shown on the state pages below the NPS passport stamps section.
For some of the park sites with multiple stamping stations, I have created a separate page for the park displaying the passport stamps by stamp location.
The geographical travel regions for the U. S. A. utilized here follow those used to organize the sections of the passport stamp books published by Eastern National. The nine regions are: Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, National Capital, North Atlantic, Pacific Northwest, Rocky Mountain, Southeast, Southwest, and Western. Click here to view a map showing the geographical regions and the colors that represent them.
NOTE: many of the passport stamps from 2020 and 2021 were available only in digital format for virtual park visits and other virtual park activities. They were issued as replacements for the regular rubber stamp images which were not available when the visitor centers were closed for the COVID-19 pandemic. They are displayed here as bonus stamps.
I would like to trade the new "Junior Ranger stamps (issued starting in 2018)". Click here for a list of the "Junior Ranger stamps" I have for trade and a list of the stamps I need.
