Robert's father might be a John WALTERS. Robert WALTERS, John WALTERS, and Samuel WALTERS (possibly brothers) were administrators of the estate of John WALTERS brought to court in 1800 in Jessamine Co., KY.


(1) Robert WALTERS, b. about 1751-57 in VA (place unknown), d. 13 Sep 1855 in Ray Twsp., Morgan Co., IN; m. to *Frances "Franky" ____ (possibly NORTON?) (b. unknown, d. before 1850); he may be the Robert WALTERS who resided in Fayette Co. (1796), and then in Jessamine Co. (1799), and then in Clark Co., KY (1800), he is the Robert WALTERS who resided in Clay Co., KY (1810), and then in Owen Co. (c1827), and then in Morgan Co., IN (1850); their children:

        i. Malinda "Mandy", b. about 1785, m. William BOWMAN; 
       ii. Elijah, b. about 1792, d. 1868, m. 1st Elizabeth SKIDMORE, 
		m. 2nd Elizabeth ABBOTT; 
      iii. Joel, b. about 1793, m. Nancy SWEETEN; 
       iv. Levi, b. 25 Nov 1796, d. 14 Jul 1852, m. Mariah MARTIN; 
        v. James, b. about 1798, m. Eliza WADE; 
[#2]   vi. Martha "Patsy", b. about 1799, m. William GUM [Jr.]; 
      vii. William, b. about 1800, m. Catherine ASHER; 
     viii. Richard, b. about 1805, d. 1871, m. 1st Susan BRASHIER, 
		m. 2nd Frances "Fanny" ASHER; 
       ix. ?Pleasant, b. unknown; 
        x. ?Thomas, b. unknown. 
[*Frances may possibly be the Frances NORTON, b. 1 Jun 1760 in Bristol, Prince George Co., VA; daughter of Thomas & Agnes NORTON.]


(2) Martha "Patsy" WALTERS, b. about 1799 in KY (possibly in Jessamine Co.), d. after 1860 probably in Morgan Co., IN; m., 3 Oct 1820 in Clay Co., KY, to William GUM [Jr.] (b. about 1795, d. after 1860).
