In some records this family name is also spelled PARSELL or PEARSALL.


(1) Nicholas PARCELL, b. about 1619 probably in England, d. about May 1691 in Flushing, Long Island, NY; m. to Sarah ____ (b. about 1621, d. after 1691); they resided in Flushing, Long Island, NY; their children:

[#2]    i. Mary, b. unknown, m. John THORNE;
       ii. Sarah, b. unknown, m. Mr. EMBREE.

Nicholas PARCELL signed the Flushing Remonstrance of 1657 which is recognized as the foundation of freedom of religion in America.


(2) Mary PARCELL, b. unknown in place unknown, d. after 1691 probably in Flushing, Queens Co., NY; m., 9 May 1664 in Long Island, NY, to John THORNE (b. about 1639, d. 1707).
