This surname is also spelled MORELLIN, MORRER, or MORRET in some records.


(1) Jacob MORET, b. about 1664 in Palatine Germany (place unknown), d. about 1709/10 possibly during voyage to America; m., probably in Palatine Germany, to Anna Eva HALMER? (b. about 1663, d. unknown; parents unknown); they resided in New York City, NY; their children:

[#2]    i. Anna Apolonia, b. about 1693, m. Jacob MOOR [Sr.]; 
       ii. Susanna, b. about 1696; 
      iii. Anna Barbara, b. about 1699. 
Jacob MORET and wife and three daughters were passengers on Capt. Bouwel's ship in 1709.
Ana Eva HALMER, widow of Jacob MORET, joined the New York City Reformed Church on 29 May 1711.


(2) Anna Apolonia MORET, b. about 1693 in Palatine Germany (place unknown), d. unknown in Hunterdon Co., NJ; m., 24 Sep 1719 in New York City, NY, to Jacob MOOR [Sr.] (b. about 1690, d. after 1755).
