JACK MOUNT'S GENEALOGY

MY GROOM FAMILY ANCESTRAL LINE

If anyone has information regarding the parents of Mary GROOM, or any other new information about her, please contact me.

I believe Mary is probably a sister of the two brothers, Peter and Thomas GROOM, who resided in the old Philadelphia Co., PA region during the late 1600s. This family was Quaker (Society of Friends).

(1) Mary GROOM, b. probably about 1660-1667 probably in England, d. 13 Feb 1693 in Nottingham Twsp., Burlington Co., NJ; m., 16 Sep 1685 in Byberry, Philadelphia Co., PA, to John ROGERS Sr. (b. about 1655-57, d. 1699). Mary resided in Southampton, Philadelphia Co. [now Bucks Co.], PA before she was married. This marriage is recorded in the records of the Abington Monthly Meeting of Quakers [now in Montgomery Co., PA]. A Peter GROOM was a witness at her marriage.
